To Travel or not to Travel?
To Travel or not to Travel?
Is that the question
No, of course not!
The question is How to travel?

The question is How to travel?
Travelling can become a frustrating frenzy fast, this we know! But it doesn’t have to be. There are a few things you can do ahead of time to “ease on down the road” stress free.
Make your
reservations early, be it flight, hotel, car rental, whatever. Get to know your airport, parking, rental car
area, etc. Leave early, this avoids
rushing and of course missing your flight!
However, if you are flying, which is what I have been doing a lot
of lately, it can be a little more challenging.
You definitely need to plan ahead. So first things first, know your TSA
rules and follow them. Do not and I repeat do NOT pack any liquids, sprays or
gels over 4 ounces, they will confiscate these items. I cannot tell you how
much money I have wasted on trying to "sneak" these things through.
Don’t forget the bare necessities, toothbrush,
deodorant, etc. Create a checklist to
avoid forgetting things. A few must haves: Headphones, hand sanitizer, snacks. It can pay to pack ahead of time, sometimes I start as early as the week of my
trip, or even the week before! It helps
me to plan my outfits for different days, events, etc. Then you are not scrambling at the last
minute and you can have things organized.
It’s called peace of mind.
Let's talk abut compact packing-Stop drop and roll those clothes
ladies! If you roll, and roll tightly, you can layer and fit more in, which gives us more options. And we all know that we love having options,
especially when we are travelling and not sure exactly what we will need or
what we will feel like wearing. This
enables you to get more in your suitcase, but be prepared for possibly some
light ironing. Did someone say “What
about My Shoes?! Always can make room for
shoes! Just narrow it down to a few of
your favorites that will go with your already selected wardrobe. Then you can easily
wedge them in between your clothes to separate outfits. TaDa!
What did you ask?
Can you still travel in style? Absolutely! Comfort is also key, especially if you are
travelling far. In other words don’t
wear your stilettos ladies! As tempting
as it may be, and trust me I would know because I have tried it, it’s not worth
the fashion statement you are trying to make. There are a ton of cute and
sporty athletic shoes, Converse, Skechers, etc.
And if you don’t want to go that casual, then maybe try low heel boots.
Comfy black leggings, everything goes with black, or even wear your favorite
holy jeans. Pair that with a casual or
glamour tee, and if you need a little
more sass, add a trendy blazer or jacket.
Once you have finally arrived at your
destination, cool, calm and collected, whether it be the beach, the mountains, or
even the desert, be adventurous, try a
new restaurant, maybe even a hole-in-the-wall place. Be flexible and maybe even a little
spontaneous. Travelling should be fun
and exciting and relaxing. Enjoy
the experience of where you are, who you are with, take in the sights and
sounds around you, and make it an experience of a lifetime.
