LIVE from NYC

LIVE from New York City, yes, you heard right, here I am in Central Park, New York City, New York, a small town girl in the Big Apple! The reason for this New York City visit –to support my boyfriend running in the New York City Marathon, which was kind of ironic, as I broke a bone in my foot about 12 weeks prior, had surgery and was only released to wear “normal” shoes the day before our trip! Crazy right?! So I basically had to retrain my leg/foot to walk again.  And being in New York helped me to do just that!  Because in the Big City, that’s all you do is walk, you walk everywhere.   The experience of NYC is a powerful one, the culture alone is tremendous, but New York speaks to me on another level, the level of … You guessed it-FASHION.  I was standing in the Fashion Capital of the World, so just being there put me in a state of Euphoria.  And although I was not able to strut around in my stilettos, per doctor’s orders, I was able to stand on my own two feet and walk, which was a milestone for me.  It has been a challenging road, but this road that I had to take, this journey that I have been on, gave me insight into a new lease on life.  So while I did not run the NYC Marathon, I am running my own marathon, the Marathon of My Life! Can’t wait to get back in those stilettos!!
