The Scent of a Woman
The
Scent of a Woman
There
is something to be said about the “Scent of a Woman.” The sense of smell in itself is one of the
most powerful senses. It is
relational. Meaning, a certain smell can
allow you to travel back in time, to a person, to a place, it can bring a
memory to life. It can stir up feelings
in you. It can be a mood enhancer, it can be confidence booster. It can make
you feel attractive; it can make you cause a distraction.
The
key is to find a scent that compliments you best. A perfume may smell good in a
store on that little test paper strip, but how it meshes with your body
chemistry is another thing, after all you are not made up of paper! The perfume molecules react with the skin
differently on every person. So you may
have to experiment a little to find the “right” one for your skin. One good tip:
Listen to the people that compliment your fragrance. This means it is working for you, so spray
away!
And
where on the body does one spray the fragrance you ask? Well, heat is what activates the scent, so
the pulse points on your body are the best places to apply due to the warmth of
the blood. Some suggested “hot” spots
would be behind the ears, the inner elbows, the wrists and don’t forget the
neck! Want to leave a lingering scent in
your wake, mist some perfume in your hair and watch your followers’ senses come
alive. My signature fragrance is Coco
Chanel. And when Ms. Coco Chanel was once
asked, “Where does one put perfume?” she replied: “Where does one put perfume, wherever one
wants to be kissed!”
